By now you've probably already watched the GDC teaser trailer for Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2. Activision and the high-profile developer revealed the cryptic trailer yesterday and gave fans of the series something to get very excited about. The game was given a North American street date of November 10th 2009, presumably hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC all at the same time. There's been no word on whether or not the release date will see a global launch take place, or whether gamers in Europe and other territories will have to wait a few excruciating days longer before they get the chance to score retail copies of the game. After watching the trailer a couple of times, it became apparent that Modern Warfare 2 appears to drop the "Call of Duty" moniker from its title. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a pretty long title, so perhaps Activision and Infinity Ward are keeping things short and sweet.
